Hi, we offer an open source EMR and Practice Management system that incorporates a connected solution for connecting the Doctor and Patient. The patient can create a PHR as part of their portal experience.
We would like to build a module that can used by our various users around the world to allow their patients to import/export with Google Health. We would like to just embed this module in our open source tool so that its there for any user who installs our toolset to connect their patients. Can you give me some ideas on how to best create that workflow within your solution set? It seems like you need to be a current data provider to set things up. We want to be a little more generic to allow whoever installs the module in their office to provide the service to the patients. These are some of my initial thoughts on how the module might work... 1. Patient is presented with the option to login or create a new Google Health account. 2. Create new account: A. Patient clicks on the link and new window with the Google Health sign up information is presented. B. Patient completes the registration. C. Patient is offered the ability to connect to their HealthForge PHR and import their information to Google Health. D. Patient completes the import. 3. Patient already has a Google Health account. A. When they log into the HealthForge patient portal, pass their Google Health credentials to Google Health to log them in within the module. B. Present the patient with the choice to import or export records between their health records. Hope that makes sense. We will also want to connect this to the EMR side to share data with Doctor.
