Hey guys,

First of all, let me say that Google Health is AMAZING. It is the
best tool out there by far for integrating health records in one
place. Second, I was very disappointed to see that Google will not
only discontinue developing the Google Health platform, but most
disappointing, Google has decided to remove the service and force
users to export their health records to other (worse) options.

If Google doesn't want to spend the time and resources developing the
Google Health platform, I am okay with that. In any case, I think
that Google should continue to allow users to use the service
regardless of its development status. I have no doubt that Google
Health will play a more active role in keeping health records in one
place IF Google gives it a chance.

The reason why Google Health has not caught on is not because it isn't
good, it's because of the lack of PR. Google hasn't advertised the
application (at all?) well enough for people to be aware of its
existence. Hell, most of my tech-savvy friends hadn't even heard of
it. If more people were aware of it, I have no doubt that many more
people would use it, as keeping individual health records in one place
is relevant to almost anyone who has health records.

So, I ask Google for one thing: if you choose to discontinue
development of Google Health, please allow users to continue using
it. Give it time and give it a chance. Maybe even advertise it or
put it as a tab next to Gmail, Calendar, Reader, etc. at the top of
the screen of people's Google accounts. Either way, please don't
force users to discontinue using the great service. I would be
willing to pay for it -- it's that good, and it's that much better
than any of the competitors. Please allow users to continue using
Google Health even if you stop developing it -- it will catch on.

Best,
Isaac
