wanted to add a little info to the description of this issue for
clarity...

the schedule conflicts are showing up on the Q, not Google Calendar.
it's on the Motorola Q that i am forced to manually update the
available/busy flag any time an all day event is sync'ed to it.

the flag itself is always being set to busy when syc'ing (regardless
of direction), but Google doesn't really do much in the interface with
regards to scheduling conflicts, so it doesn't really matter on that
interface.  depending on how your phone/mobile device handles/displays
scheduling conflicts, this may not be that noticeable of a problem.
