I'm having the same problem (also on an E62). My GooSync username is beowabbit.
After configuring synchronization (had to do it by hand; I never got the SMS to auto-configure), attempts to synchronize get "Connecting" for a while, then briefly "Disconnecting" and then something like "Server refused connection."
