I am having the same problem. When I go to "My Device" and select the calendars, I get my current list. I have added a cal to gcal and would like to now sync it also. I hit "Refresh Calendars from Google" and I get presented no cal at all to sync. I don't hit update because I don't want to loose what I have now. I have tried this on two different Windows XP machines.
