Hi Richard

>From your sync logs, your last failed sync was at 22/04/2007 10:47am.
The error was 'Connection to Google failed while retrieving',
i.e we had trouble connect to Google. Your next two syncs at 10:48am
and 14:48pm appeared to work.

You mentioned that items were removed from your device (and still
exist in Google),
this can happen if you deselected a calendar for sync.
Were you syncing more than default calendar or a larger sync window
before?
Your settings show you are only syncing your default calendar and
your only want to sync 7 days in past and 30 days in the future and
syncing with tags.
Can you confirm this is correct?

As a last resort, you may consider deleting your device and re-adding
your device on the My Device page.
Before you do this make a note of your days in past, days in future
settings and the tags (prefixes)
for your calendars. After you have re-added your device, configure
your sync windows
and set the same tags as you previously had.

The release on Friday 20 April introduced Categories so when
you click on the calendars page for the first time for Palms/Treos/
Pocket PC/Smartphones devices,
it will ask if want to use Tags or Categories.
If you want to continue to use the prefixes for your calendars select
Tags and set
the tag names to the tags that you previously had.
After you have re-added your device, and set your sync settings and
selected your calendars -
when you next sync, it will force a slow sync and remap everything.

Hope that works.
