Stuart, Some good information that I did not know. Thanks. Since I have selected windows mobile smartphone, it automatically shows TAG support and not Catergory support. From what you are saying, the database on my phone has a category, but the windows mobile smartphone interface doesn't access it. Given that my selection with goosync is for TAGs, I would assume that it is not trying to sync the Catergory. How would I go about changing this? I would think that if I selected PPC it would not sync properly, since these are different OSs. I have the smartphone app loaded on my device. I would think that the app on my phone would handshake with goosync server. If there is alaready setup to sync the Category in there, I would be surprised, but maybe that is what you are telling me.
I did not know that Google was keeping you from a 2-way sync. 1-way sync would be good, but not a real solution. If I change a phone number on my phone, it has to get changed on google. As a side note for this feature. I have 2 phones and want the phones to stay synced with contacts. I have done this with the calendars by sharing the calendars as needed to make both phones work. I'm not sure how the contacts will work as far as sharing. It would be nice to have the contact database login with google be seperate from the calendar login. This would mean I could setup both phones to access the same google contacts list. Another option that needs to be looked into is an automatic schedule for syncing. I would like to be able to tell the phone to sync every hour, or every day at a given time. It's a pain to have tell the device to go sync all the time. That would be a great selling feature for you software.
