Hi,
Please find below the known issues with the current category system
for multiple calendars. Development are working on fixes for these and
we hope to have them available soon.
1. The word "Default" cannot be used as a category name - any attempt
to name a category as default will generate the "categories must be
unique" message and GooSync will not allow you to save this change.
2. Cannot use commas in a category name ("Work, Study" for example) -
GooSync will pass this name down to the device but it will be detected
as two separate categories when received by the device.
3. Palm OS categories are limited to 15 characters in length - GooSync
allows you to enter a category name of up to 50 characters, but these
will be truncated when sent to the device. Therefore when these
entries are sent back to GooSync the truncated category name is not
recognised and the event is ignored.
As stated above development are aware of these issues and are working
towards a solution for each issue. More information will be posted
about these issues once I have it available.
