2. Spanning events aren't supported by the PALM as you have noticed. Your idea of converting these to repeating events is interesting but unfortunately we don't think this possible as it would confuse the sync using different types. So for the time being you will have to stick to repeating events until you next upgrade your device. GooSync does support spanning events so when getting a new device check to see if it supports spanning events and your be alright then.
