Personally, I can't stand browser-based solutions on my phone. To
slow. The GMAIL client is great for e-mail, except it doesn't work
with Google Hosted Accounts (unless you have a Blackberry), so I use
Flurry for e-mail. Using the mobile browser-based e-mail is slow.
Browser-based calendaring is even worse for me. On my Razr, with
Chung Hwa telecom's data plan, it is just to slow to bother firing up
the browser just to check my calendar or add an event. The only
mobile-browser feature I use is Google Reader's web page. Which is
still painfully slow, but easier to live with for reading through RSS
feeds than trying to quickly check your calendar.

Google SMS services do not yet support Chunghwa Telecom users
(Taiwan), so I can't even make use of that feature. Goosync has been
the a godsend for me as a Google Hosted Accounts user in Taiwan.

Now, if Google ever makes a calendaring application with the same
quality as their Gmail reader, then Goosync will need to come up with
some seriously compelling features to have any chance of surviving.
On the other hand, I suppose some people will not want to have
multiple calendaring software taking up precious phone memory and
would rather have Google Calendar synced with their phone's native
calendaring application, which is what Goosync does well.
