Hi, Configuration credits are used to automatically configure certain devices over-the-air (3 credits are provided free with all accounts).
Additional credits are required if you need to configure your device multiple times or if you change your device often and need to configure the new one. As stated above not all devices can be configured over-the-air so if your device is unable to do this (devices that support this are marked on the supported device pages) you will not need the additional credits.
