[snipped] Have you tried this? Boot, go past the menu until it runs the Live CD. When its finished, right click on the round Install icon and choose "Open". This will start the (Ubuntu) Installer which will eventually ask you whether you want to continue with the live disk or reboot. Choose reboot. Nothing much to say about the Installer really, except when it goes into the Partitioner, select "Guided - whole disk" (or something like that); unless you are a very experienced user, do not select "Manual". If you wish to keep Windows and Linux on the same hard disk (and I would not think there is enough room, install Windows first and then defrag the disk before installing Linux. The GRUB operating systems manager will let you choose which operating system to run. Mind you, I haven't done this with gOS, but the Ubuntu Wiki will help you. I prefer to use KDE as my desktop, not GNOME, or even XFCE, and long for the day there is a KDE version of gOS -- Graham Todd --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gOS Linux" group.
