I'm trying to customize my copy of gOS Rocket E to somewhat resemble gOS Space in that I'm adding most of the web apps that came with gOS Space. I accomplished the adding of web apps by creating .desktop files in /usr/share/applications. For example, I created myspace.desktop and pasted in the following:
[Desktop Entry] Encoding=UTF-8 Name=MySpace Comment=MySpace Exec=firefox http://www.myspace.com Terminal=false X-MultipleArgs=false Type=Application Icon=myspace.png Categories=Application;Network;MySpace; NOTE: I copied the extra icons over to /usr/share/icons/gOS/scalable/ apps. Anyway, I was wondering if it were possible to create brand new application categories so I can place some of the web apps in the new categories. For example, I'd like to create a Google category and place all my Google Apps in that application category (ex. Start -> Applications -> Google -> Gmail). I also want to add a News category so I can add my customized web apps (BBC, CNN, Fox News, Daily Kos, Huffington Post, Infowars, NY Times, etc.) to that category (ex. Start -> Applications -> News -> CNN). --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gOS Linux" group.
