I recently purcahsed a new g notebook and having difficulty setting up a wireless connection with my linksys WRT-300N. The network utility on the g book sees the SSID broadcast and when I try to connect it correctly ask for the WEP Key. When I enter the WEP it appears to be connected but when I check the connection information there are no addresses assigned through the router's DHCP. On my router the g book does appear as a client with an assigned IP address and correct recognition of the MAC address.
Not surprisingly no internet connection. I have also tried to configure it manually and use both paraphrase and entering the actual key without success. This is my first exposure to this OS. Don't know how to ping, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated.
