SongBird sounds like (or rather looks like) fitting well into the "lets make it work like OSX" concept that gOS developers seem to follow (nothing wrong with that, by the way, I applaud it), so it seems a natural fit for gOS. Specifically as I often hear the question "does it run iTunes", and it pains me to deny that it does, especially as I realise that it probably never will. As Apple wants to be the source of "the alternative OS".
But people want to be able to seamlessly integrate their iPod / iPhone with their OS, so it would be a boon if we had an application that did that just as easy as iTunes. That said, I understand that SongBird is now in Beta, so that might limit its appeal, but IMHO it should not be a complete show-killer.
