If you mean by "over" "instead off", there shouldn't be a problem, if
you choose "use whole disk" as partition option gOS will throw away
whatever is on the disk, and install gOS instead.

If you mean take an existing Ubuntu and from it create a "gOS", by
adding extra's to it, then I wish you luck... As far as I know nobody
has tried that yet... I don't know if repositories for that are
available, as this version is still just a beta.
