Well, I only know
System preferences>Preferences>Screen Resolution.

But I doubt you haven't found that, its too obvious.
So I assume you want to see some hardware overview that lists your
(CRT/LCD) monitor, and or your Video Card, and their properties.

There is hardware drivers at:
System preferences>Administration>Hardware Drivers

But at least in my case it lists nothing, as it only lists proprietary
drivers.

I didn't see any other related features, but under
System preferences>Preferences>Main Menu

You can toggle menu items on and off, and there I found a menu item
"screens and graphics" you can turn on in the "other" section of the
menu.
My first attempt made the menu system hang (a well known bug), but the
second attempt worked, and the program indeed seems to be what you
need.
