I got the Sylvania g-book for 2 weeks already and trying to know the
system by reading all the postings. From what I read, it seems that
gOS escape on the Sylvania g-book is some what different from other
version. At least some of the menu items are missing. Now I have
some questions if someone can help.

1. There are two gOS menu items can be added to the panel, one does
not have edit menu option, one (called custom menu) will add
"application, place, preference" next to the gOS icon. Can I get the
one that can be edit but without the add'l selection on its side?

2. There was no add/remove (package manager) on the menu. After
adding gnome-app-install suggested from other posts, I get the package
manager. From the package installed list, I saw some programs that
supposed installed in the system but they are not listed in the menu
or in list of program shows on the edit menu - items to be added. How
can I add those programs to the menu? Where I can find them in the
computer?

Sorry for the long posting. Just want to make clear what my problems
are.

Thank.
