Thank you for the reply, I have a relative coming to visit me this week and I hope he can show me how to the CD writer which is on the computer that I inherited from my son. If I can do that, that sounds like the simplest. He is an IT guy and will probably understand all the info I have collected. I would really like to try the gOS 3 and gradually learn to use it.
Once again, I thank you for your patience. I will read the wikepedia article in any event. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of mahjongg Sent: Sunday, September 28, 2008 4:46 PM To: gOS Linux Subject: Re: Hello all.. If you want to boot gOS (or any other OS, including Windows) from a flash drive you need to make the flash drive bootable, then copy the contents of the Live_CD (or just the contents of the downloaded .ISO file) to it. To make it bootable, you can use "Unetbootin" , see this wikipedia article. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UNetbootin By the way, you also need to do this to install Windows.
