You mean there is no "alternative install" option!
The "OEM install" is simply the normal install, but asks for user info
-after- installation, at the next reboot, instead of before the
installation.
This is for "original equipment manufacturers", so they can pre-
install gOS on machines they ship to customers.

256MB is probably not enough, (the minimum is 384MB) and there is NO
"alternative install" option AFAIK.

One of the later "community versions", of gOS 3 that will work with a
less memory hungry windows manager will be better suited for your
machine, they will come out later this year.
