Ktorrent is a KDE application, not a GNOME application (but still works on gOS though), see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ktorrent Azureaus is now called Vuze, and is written in Java, so it is cross platform (runs on Windows, OSX and Linux). More info at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vuze
There are many many more bittorrent clients fro Linux, an overview can be found here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_BitTorrent_software Almost all clients work with a GUI, and it doesn't much differ if you are running one on Windows, or on Linux, but user interfaces can differ significantly between all sorts of clients. Just choose one you are comfortable with.
