NO.

You need to fix the booting process.
Some possible solutions are;

* your Video card isn't supported out of the box, and you need to boot
with the safe video mode option, so it uses a simple framebuffer that
should always work.

* You haven't got enough RAM in your computer, you need at least 384MB
(256+128)  add more RAM if you have less than that.

* Your Live CD is bad, try if it boots on another computer.

* If your computer is really old the BIOS in it might not support the
boot system used, or you simply have forgotten to set it to try
booting the CD first. But if you get the boot options menu, both of
these are not the problem.
