Thanks for the reply.  It's asking for the password for mlong (my user
account).  However, when I sudo su and use passwd to reset the root
password I still can't get it to work.  They should have both been the
same password but now I've reset them to be the same.  It finally
fails and says Could not authenticate, an unexpected error has
occurred.
