I installed gOS on my Acer Aspire One (160gb HDD, 6-Cell) with no problems other than the noted WiFi and sound (easily fixed by following the instructions on the Unbuntu site).
I love the OSX look of the OS and it's Google gadget integration (I have become a slave to Google apps and desktop). My major problem is that every time I shut down the OS and reboot at a later date, the gadgets are not remembered. I have a calendar app on my desktop and every time I reboot, I have to reenter my login information. Same with weather and other apps. It also doesn't remember the previous size or position on the desktop. This is a real annoyance with this Linux Distro. If this is to be a fully integrated Google friendly OS, I would think seemless integration with gadgets that would be remembered upon shutdown would be a top bug fix. Is anyone else experiencing this issue, or is there a workaround or a soultion I have not found? Are the devlopers on this discussion group and listening? When can we expect a fix?
