The old versions of gOS work just fine with the EeePC. You need to find a way to boot from USB. You can do that with a USB CD/DVD drive, or you can use a program like Unetbootin to copy the gOS installation software to a USB pen drive. However, I don't know if all the hardware of the EeePC - especially the wifi - works out of the box.
