Even though you have the same video card, that does not mean that gOS
automatically uses it with the most optimal driver, it is perfectly
possible that gOS defaults to a simple "frame buffer driver", without
using any of the 3D acceleration of the card. To to it off, even if
you had a real Linux 3D accelerated driver for your Video card, often
the manufacturers do not write Linux drivers, so the Linux community
has to write one themselves, which might not be very efficient. Bute
even when the driver is from the manufacturer, they often do not
optimise it as much as the Windows driver. Its all a question of
money.

First check if you have enabled a real driver for your 3D card, not
just the default framebuffer driver. Install the "Screens and
Graphics" menu, using the "main Menu" menu editor in Preferences, and
check it uses the correct driver and monitor.

Then if a "non-free" driver (non open source) is needed, it might also
need to be turned on/installed in the "administration > Hardware
drivers" menu.
