The driver for this NIC card is not compiled into the kernel by
default, so you will have to do some installation yourself here,
although I see from Googling around that there may be issues with
Ubuntu (on which gOS is based). Before you start install the
build-essential package by doing (in a terminal):
sudo apt-get install build-essential
<password>
It is more graphical by going through synaptic, but by going through a
terminal, error messages will be generated by which others can help you.
