Yes it works.  By removing the gOS theme and then reinstalling, the
new theme took effect.
In the process, my dock (wbar) disappeared.  Luckily, there is a
thread of postings here to help me recovered it.
Thank everybody.

Now I can go back to work on my headphone and webcam problems.
