type Ctrl-T for a terminal (after you have set the keybinding, see below) enter the following command
gnome-system-monitor Alternatively press Alt-F1 for the main menu, and browse to System>administration>System Monitor With the system monitor you can monitor and stop processes. Ctrl-Alt-Del is assigned to calling up the logout screen. Unfortunately there is no keybinding for the system monitor, and the keybinding for the terminal is normally turned off, so you should set it to Ctrl-T, a default. Its not normal by the way for firefox to freeze the system.
