Yes, not only it is a complete (linux based) OS, you also get a lot of
application software, including a complete office solution. In fact
with only a few mouse-clicks you can install almost anything you want,
all for free.

You do not need to reformat your drive to install gOS, in fact you do
not even need a hard-disk in your computer just to test gOS.

All you need is a copy of the gOS CD.

To test it, you just boot the CD (the only thing you might need to do
is to set the BIOS so it will attempt to boot from CD, if it isn't set
so already) . It will boot a fully working gOS.

If you like it you can then run the installer you will find on the gOS
desktop. The installer will partition and format your hard-disk, all
automatically, you only need to make the choice to use the whole disk.
