I think gOS is a great idea, and I really enjoy it. Even though I'm
still running it off of a CD on my old laptop due to my new laptop
crashing and waiting on repairs I need Photoshop. But, once I get my
laptop back I'll convert this one to full gOS. But anyways, as I was
saying.

I think gOS is a great idea, but it's lacking community even though
there is a website. I think it needs to be expanded into more user-
interactive, bringing more contributors in. Drawing on OpenOffices.org
success with creating different communities for different tasks would
be a good start. Different people could help out in different areas.
Like me, I'm no programmer. But I could help out with marketing,
distribution, and branding (to name a few). Maybe start with something
as simple as a forum.

Goodle Groups is too small for gOS. You can't plant a tree in a small
pot. This brings me to support and documentation. A forum would be a
lot more flexible in helping people with issues while maintaining
archives for users to search through. Plus, a wiki documentation would
be very good. As FAQ/Help page is very limited.

Another thing, make main site more interactive. Add some sort of
resources to download more free apps, or anything like that. Let's
follow and draw on Windows success. After all, for a bad, unsecure and
annoying OS they have very loyal customer base. They're doing
something right.

These are couple of suggestions that I think will help gOS attract
more customers while increasing user-contributor conversion.

I can even offer free hosting (i got a deal from my hosting provider,
i got unlimited space and bandwidth), I'll be nice and share =)

Just get in touch with me if you're interested.
