Hi,
I am just trying out gOS and I really like it. I am on line
because of my wired network. However, I need to be connected
wirelessly . I have loaded the live distro on two of my laptops. One
is a new HP V6000 running Windows Vista. I believe the wireless
connection is a broadcom 54 g connection. My other laptop is a Compaq
Evo N400C, running Windows 98SE. The wireless connector is a Netgear
WG111V2 USB adapter. I put in all my information, but the wireless
does not connect on either computer. I would appreciate any help. I
have connected to my wireless connection using different versions of
Linux. I have a SSID name, on channel 11, 64 bit wep. Is my passphrase
the same as the network password? Should I type in my WEP key in hex
or asci? Again, any help will be greatly appreciated. I have been able
to get Puppy Linux to connect wirelessly, as well as Xandros. Thanks
for you consideration in this matter.
Paul
