Hi, I've been using linux for a while now, I think I am at the point where I know how to do most things, but I don't really know how to fix anything.
I tried to install gOS onto my 4gb Verbatim usb via the instructions given on pendrivelinux.com. I used a live cd to boot off of, everything seemed to be working fine, I think I correctly followed all the instructions. However, when I go to boot it off the USB, I get the welcome screen of gOS that says, among other things, that I can run persistently and save my changes. I click this, it says "loading linux kernel," loads to 100% and then goes to a blank screen with a single white underline as if I was going to enter text (I cannot enter anything even if I do try typing). I also tried this on my 1gb USB drive (made by a different manufacturer) and the same thing happened. I tried a different computer, the same thing happened. So, obviously I am doing something wrong with the install via USB. I am using gOS gadgets, latest version, on a new Thinkpad T61 (pretty standard hardware, I can go into details if necessary). Anyone have this problem? Anyone know how to fix it? All help is appreciated, David --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "gOS Linux" group.
