Not really, Linux is no doubt the OS that supports the largest range
of hardware, and much of it is for older hardware.
However Linux also supports brand new hardware, especially if the
manufacturer plays along and supports Linux, either with a driver, or
with technical data-sheets, so a driver can be written. The Linux
community is often quick with drivers for new hardware, only the very
latest hardware sometimes lags behind, as it tikes time -after- the
hardware appears on the market to write a Linux driver for it.
