Caldera DR-DOS? You mean this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/DR-DOS old
MS-DOS 6 replacement?

What does that have to do with gOS?, or do you mean that you have
always had DR-DOS on your system, and you gOS CD was simply ignored,
so that your computer booted as normal into DR-DOS? I hope this does
not mean your computer is also from 1998, and how can DR-DOS "search
for USB HDD Devices..", it doesn't have USB support! (not strange
considering it was written before USB existed!).

If you mean that Caldera DR-DOS boots from the CD you burned then you
did NOT burn gOS to the CD.

Make sure that you download the right .ISO, so the one from www.thinkgos.com
and use it to burn gOS to a CD, using a "burn image" utility, (do not
simply burn the .ISO. or its contents to a CD, it wont work) and burn
it at a very low speed ( like 4x ) as a Live_CD is much more critical
with burn errors than a normal data-CD.

Boot the CD on a computer with a post year 2000 BIOS (older BIOS's
might have trouble booting from a CD), and turn the right boot
sequence on in the BIOS, so the BIOS tries to boor from CD before
continuing with booting from Hard-disk. Use a computer with at least a
Pentium Class 500 MHz CPU, and at least 256MB of RAM.
