there are no official lists of supported hardware, the closest to that would be lists of hardware working on the Ubuntu version that the particular version of gOS you are talking about is based on. in case of gOS 3 that would be Ubuntu 8.04, in case of older versions, they are based on Ubuntu 7.10.
But Good OS programmers also tweak the drivers, and boot (hardware detection) code, so sometimes a device that does not work on Ubuntu does work on gOS. Just try it, boot the Live CD and see what happens. If you cannot get a resolution above 800x600 do not despair, gOS defaults to limiting the highest resolution at 800x600, but you can set it higher with an application "screens and graphics" you can add to the menu, with the "main menu" menu editor.
