I'm in the process of setting up/building a system that I want to
install gOS on. I think it will run it okay, but my concern is
purchasing the right wireless PCI card that will be compatible. I've
noticed a lot of people on here sometimes struggling to get their
wireless cards working or recognised by gOS.

Ideally I would like whatever card I get to be compatible with both
Windows and gOS. Does anybody have any advice on purchasing the right
card from the beginning? What brands of cards should I look into?
Thanks in advance.

By the way I'm completely new to installing device drivers under gOS.
When I used gOS on my computer before, I just assumed all the
necessary drivers were loaded. Although I know that when I used the
same computer with Windows, I've had to go and install drivers that I
downloaded from the manufacturers websites.
