There seems no other way to adjust the desktop sound-level than
through Terminal communication and
"amixer" commands. When chosen from the desktop menues there are no
visable level controllers and trying to adjust something might end-up
in losing the sound completely.
Through the amixer PCM command this can be restored, bu might be
complex/unknown for unexperiences Linuxers.
