Well, I can confirm that regular gOS works with scroll wheels without
the problems you are describing, but I'm no VMWare expert (or even
user) so I cannot comment on the cause of the problem, why not try to
boot a Live_CD to see if it works without VMWare. Ask in the VMWare
fora what the problem might be.
