Yes, 256MB should be enough to run gOS normally, although more is
obviously better, if you run large applications.

Can't tell you if your WiFi adapter will work out of the box, there
isn't an "official list of supported WiFi adapters", you just have to
try.

gOS 3 is based on Ubuntu 8.04, if it runs on Ubuntu 8.04 chances are
good it will run on gOS, but nobody knows for sure.
