PROBLEM SOLVED!!!! I started digging around as thoughts of switching back to windows plagued my mind. I went into Firefox's plug-in menu and saw that gnash was still hanging out in there. Removed it, shut down Firefox and reinstalled Adobe Flashplayer 10 for Ubuntu. I downloaded the file directly from Adobe. Installed it and voila! All is well, and everything works fine now.
So to recap, make sure Gnash is out, before Adobe gets installed. Thanks for everything. mongoosetoo.
