I am sorry I didn't reply sooner, are you still having problems? I believe that the way to adjust the speed is to open the gOS Menu, choose 'System preferences', then choose 'Preferences' and then you should see that either Trackpad or Mouse should be listed there. Pick the trackpad if it is listed, or pick the mouse and that should offer you a window which should allow you to control the speed by using the sensitivity. Acceleration might also help your needs, but, for me, the mouse acceleration in my gOS seems to make my mouse move the pointer a bit too fast..... I don't have trackpad in my preferences, so maybe yours gOS installation would be different.
