Ok, some good news for a change. Mail-Archive did
very well this weekend (slicing through the incoming
message traffic like butter). This is partly due to
new I/O tuning adjustments I did, and partly due to the
"defragmentation" effect received from restoring from backup.

Thus, I'm taking advantage of the processing overcapacity
to do some backfilling. Specifically, I handed the system some
of the mail that piled up while I was doing repairs last week.
All in all, things are looking good, although I'm not exactly what
the processing capacity story will be when weekday traffic returns
tomorrow.

In other good news, .rdf files appear to be working ok
again. I remember there was a problem before the restore,
but never did have a chance to track it down. Not really
sure why things are working again, but I'm still glad to see
it.

Finally, I significantly upgraded the "mailman" software that
runs this list (gossip). Let me know if you see any problems.
Ideally, list members should not notice any changes.

Cheers,
Jeff
