I just don't see compute resources being available to reprocess
the May 2003 archives. Thus my best guess is May 2003 will
be the "lost month". A black mark in Mail-Archive's otherwise
pretty good 5 year track record.

The crash itself appears to have been caused by extreme
heat buildup on the disk drives, which basically spend 100%
of their time doing seeks.  It's possible that modern high
density drives are more susceptable to heat problems than their
forebearers. In response, I've added a number of additional 
cooling fans to address this problem (including one more
on Thursday).

In other news, performance really has been excellent as of
lately (there are something like 120 messages in the processing
queue right now, which is practically NOTHING!) and I have
high hopes Mail-Archive can run in a hands off fashion for
the next year or so.
