Around the time when I joined mozilla I spent several months on https://github.com/mozilla/chromeless - This experience gave me a deep understanding of the firefox platform. You can also review my qualifications by searching for 'Hilaiel' (you can add the terms 'npapi' or 'browserplus' to find relevant experience as well - I've been writing software that runs in the same process as browsers for a while now). You can also find me as lloyd on github. (and yes, I did play 'puck' in a modern day adaptation of A Midsummer Night's Dream when I was 15). I understand your criticisms, and am disarmed by the fact that you hold the quality of mozilla's desktop and mobile products in sufficiently high esteem that you're willing to step up in a public forum and challenge the qualifications of folks who we're proposing gain greater ability to land code in those products. All I can say is that I personally do not take the responsibility implied by this authority lightly.
