Thanks to David for covering this. > From User Story Backlogs spreadsheet talking about DRM for various > multimedia content: > > https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AtVT90hlMtdSdEd4TVVjWXNfU3ctMlVhWFRrWkpweVE#gid=30 The rest of the items on that sheet differ significantly from Forward Lock. Forward Lock has "Must have for v1.2" as its blocking requirement. The other items have just "Backlog" in that column. The first sheet of that workbook says: "These backlogs are NOT meant to constitute commitment to certain features within specific releases." Unfortunately, spreadsheets like this aren't very clear about whether having an item on the list means "This item was on someone's buzzword bingo list.", "Someone said they'd use this feature in an app if we had it.", "Someone said they won't distribute a phone without this feature.", "We think having this feature would be a good idea." or "This feature is going to be implemented." I sure hope that some items on that list are on the level of "someone mentioned these" instead of being on the level of "going to be implemented". I'm particularly unhappy about items DRM2, DRM7 and DRM8. Furthermore, DRM3 and DRM4 should be achievable on the app level without support from the platform. -- Henri Sivonen [email protected] https://hsivonen.fi/ _______________________________________________ governance mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
