Hi to everybody, My name is Giovanny, I am a Mozillian since I was 15 years old, now I am 17 years old. I just receive and email from Mozilla email for Mozillians with the announcement of Brendan saying he will not be the Mozilla CEO. I feel really bad, and every post I read about Brendan position and Mozilla transmit a bad image of what really is happening.
The bad situation for me is how sensationalist press change the decision of Mozilla, and an entire community. How Mozilla seems to be affected by sensationalist press without good arguments to publish the bad articles they published. I don't think the solution is retire Brendan of CEO position. Maybe I am wrong, and I am not sure whats happening on Mozilla offices, but maybe (Maybe not) some Mozillians are thinking the same as me. Personally I not know Brendan, but I think he will do a good job as CEO and know I won't know it. The problem is not at all why sensationalist press affected Brendan position, the problem is how sensationalist press are affecting the image and mission of Mozilla. The problem is how sensationalist press are describing and transmitting Mozillians that made possible incredible things everyday. Seems that sensationalist press is affecting Mozilla, and Mozilla don't know how to go out of this situation. I am talking with the experience of 2 years collaborating to Mozilla. Yes, Mozilla, the community that doesn't care about my age, the community that let me participate on big thing, big projects, work with great people and think big. The community that give the hand without any distinction and continue doing it. The community that today has not CEO. The community that was affected by sensationalist press. Just to finalize, good luck Brendan and keep close of the community, there's a lot to change and improve on the web, there's a lot to learn. Take my +1 to get your back Brendan. Regards, Gio PS: Sorry if this is not the right channel to publish this. _______________________________________________ governance mailing list [email protected] https://lists.mozilla.org/listinfo/governance
