For one thing, while a few at Mozilla asked for Brendan's resignation (exactly 4 community members that I know of, none of them employees from Mozilla Corporation), way more supported him, regardless of their political views or his.

Both Brendan and Mozilla were the victims of a systematic online harassment campaign organized by OKCupid.
