Thanks for your comment. As you might have guessed, a lot of people feel
very strongly about this, and we haven't done a great job of
communicating the facts.

... but to put it briefly, Brendan wasn't fired or forced out - he made
his own decision to resign, saying in part that that " Our mission is
bigger than any one of us, and under the present circumstances, I cannot
be an effective leader."
Mozilla as an organization is committed to a single cause, the
advancement of the free and open Web, as described here:

Mozilla is one of the most diverse, inclusive organizations I've ever
worked for, and we're proud of that. There's no political- or
social-activism litmus test required to be a part of Mozilla, and that's
always been important to us.
