For over a month now after the Bendan Eich situation I have continued
to use Firefox. However, every time I see the Firefox emblem or see the word
Firefox, I think of a good man who poured his heart and life into a company only
to have that company’s leadership betray him for supporting a belief he felt was
right. The comments by Mitchell Baker
were particularly hurtful. As much as I
like your product and want to continue to use Firefox, it is just too painful
of an experience. I know your company and
the rest of the world has moved past this episode but it appears I will not be
able to until switching browsers. I know
one small voice is not going to make a difference to you company but a person
has to be able to live with their own conscience.
